Background

Gil Cohen has a background in Psychology and Business.  His goals are to help organizations improve the quality of working life for their employees while also improving the organization as a whole and its ability to achieve the desired outcomes.

Gil has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario.  He also received his Masters in Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business with a dual focus of Organizational Behaviour and Strategic Management.

After completing his studies, Gil began writing a study helping a major pharmaceutical firm understand the impact of structure on the organization.  This study resulted in providing the leadership of the company with choices of structure and the impact of each choice on the environment on the company.

Business Focus

Gil has worked with Strategic Action Group, Ltd. for five years as an associate consultant.  In that time he has worked with a variety of organizations on the following range of services:

1. •Developing an understanding of organizational structure and its impact on the organization
   

2. •Developing both role specific competencies as well as broad competencies for high potential employees
   

3. •Definition and articulation of vision, values and behaviours associated with living the values of the organization

5. •Helping with team building and bringing together diverse groups towards a common goal
   

6. •Multi-source feedback based on job or company -specific competencies for the development of employees
